A high-end redesign, custom CMS, and faster booking layer for a natural cosmetics studio in Dresden.
Overview
Samt & Seide is a natural cosmetics studio in Dresden with a high-end in-person experience. The previous site contained a lot of content, but it was unoptimized and did not make the booking process as smooth as it could be.
The Challenge
The existing website was content-rich but slow, visually below the level of the studio, and created potential drop-off during booking because visitors needed too many clicks. The owners also needed a self-contained way to manage content, staff, and offers without paying for maintenance whenever they wanted to make simple updates.
The Solution
The redesign gives the studio a digital presence that shines as much as the studio itself. It fairly represents the staff, atmosphere, and offers, while a custom Payload CMS lets the owners manage content, staff, and services themselves. I also built a full integration into the existing booking system as a fast, branded layer on top: it improves load times, fits the design, automates contact cards, simplifies booking, supports newsletters and discounts, and keeps visitors on the page.
Results
Faster load times, fewer clicks to booking, and the owners can now update their own content without calling anyone. The site finally looks like what the studio actually is.
