Rentvanture Campervan Rental
A full redesign and custom booking system for a hand-built campervan rental in Rostock — from dated Webflow site to a playful, conversion-driven platform with integrated payments.
Overview
Rentvanture is a one-man campervan rental in Rostock run by Olli, who has hand-built over 70 campervans since 2014 and rents out six of them. The previous website was built on Webflow and did not do justice to the personality, authenticity, and quality of the service — nor did it make booking easy. This project replaced everything with a custom-built platform that reflects who Olli is and turns visitors into paying guests.
The Challenge
The old Webflow site had an aged design that was hard to update. The booking process was disconnected: a separate system with an outdated UI, no availability overview, and a request-based flow instead of direct payments. Visitors had no way to quickly see which vans were free, compare options, or pay immediately. There were no special offers to fill low-season gaps, no success tracking, a neglected blog, and limited content overall — leaving a lot of the business's personality and value hidden.
The Solution
I rebuilt the entire platform from scratch with a design that mirrors Olli's authenticity — playful, warm, and personal. The homepage features a direct booking and availability search so visitors can instantly see which vans are free for their dates. Each van has its own character page. The integrated booking system runs on a dynamic backend with Stripe and PayPal payments, replacing the old request-based workflow. I added a competitor comparison page, a dedicated special offers page for filling low-season gaps, travel destination guides, a magazine section, newsletter and contact forms, and dedicated pages for FAQ, insurance, pricing, about, and features. Reviews — 130 five-star ratings with zero negatives — are displayed prominently across all pages. The site includes enhanced tracking for A/B testing and conversion optimization via PostHog.
Results
Rentvanture now has a platform that converts as well as it communicates. Visitors can find, compare, and book a van in minutes instead of sending a request and waiting. The special offers page fills availability gaps in the off-season, and tracking gives Olli real data on what works. The site finally reflects the quality and personality that earned 130 five-star reviews.
